Sound Bathing

History:

Healing with the Power of Sound is one of the oldest and most natural forms of healing known to man. For many centuries, ancient cultures knew of these healing principles and used them effectively to keep the body, mind and spirit in harmony and free of disease.

For example, the ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, and Indigenous peoples, are among the first known to use sound healing. Using tools such as the didgeridoo, low frequency drumming, and harmonically resonant tones, these cultures successfully facilitated the healing of broken bones, muscle tears, common illnesses, and countless other conditions.

Sound Therapy is the intentional use of sound, frequency and vibration to relax the body and create balance and alignment within the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual layers of the self. The sound may be applied by an instrument or by the human voice.

When you get a sound therapy session, healthy sound vibration will penetrate deep into the body. The sound spreads like waves. Similar to how waves are created from a stone being dropped in water. Sound waves grow into larger and larger circles that travel through our cells, blood, tissues, organs, bones, and all the way into our DNA.

The sound affects the nervous system which in turn begins to slow the brainwaves invoking a deep state of relaxation. At this point, the body can begin to release its stress and get relief from physical symptoms and activate its self-repair mechanisms. This deep state helps to restore optimum health, harmony and balance back into the mind, body, and spirit.

If a person is ill in any way, physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually, it is believed that they have an imbalance within. The sound seeks out where the imbalance is and helps to realign it.

Sound therapy can beneficially alter the brainwave patterns. This technique is known as brainwave entrainment. Multiple sessions can dramatically improve the quality of a person’s life by inducing deep states of relaxation, higher states of consciousness, improved focus, deep meditative states, improved sleep, anxiety, depression and pain relief, and much more. 

Everyone will experience a session differently and in their own unique way but it is reasonable to expect that a session with us will be intense and transformational, as we are shifting energy. Expect to feel lighter and lifted into a higher state of being. You will also feel deeply relaxed, as the sessions work to realign various parts of the self. You can also expect to feel centered, grounded and back on track so you can reclaim your power to heal,  transform and move through whatever challenges that you are facing.

You may also notice the following sensations during the session:

  • Intense relaxation – going in and out of a trance like state.

  • Buzzing and tingling in and around the body.

  • Spontaneous insights and clairvoyant flashes or a rapid succession of images.

  • Twitches.

  • Feeling of being out of body.

  • Emotional release.

  • Temporary discomfort or pain as energy is being released.
